Chevrolet Plug-In Options

There are two home charging options for the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV, as well as a fast-charging public option. 

Level 1: Basic 120-Volt Household Outlet

  • Home use
  • Portable charging cord that can be used anywhere there is a 3-prong 120-volt outlet
  • About 4 miles of range per hour of charging
  • Ideal for an average commute of about 40 miles per day or less

Level 2: 240-Volt Appliance Outlet

  • Home or public use
  • Dual-level charge cord for everyday portable charging or 11.5kW wall-mounted home charging unit
  • Dual-level charge cord can be plugged into 240-volt outlets for 25 miles of range per hour of charging
  • 11.5kW wall-mounted unit provides 39 miles of range per hour of charging for the Bolt EV, or 37 miles per hour of charging for the Bolt EUV
  • Convenient for fast top-offs before leaving on longer trips or lengthy commutes

Level 3: DC Fast Charging

  • Public use only
  • Get up to 100 miles of range in 30 minutes for the Bolt EV, or up to 95 miles in 30 minutes for the Bolt EUV
  • Fast way to charge while you’re out and about in Poinciana
  • The MyChevrolet mobile app with Energy Assist helps you locate public DC fast-charging charging stations that are compatible and available for use

How Much Does it Cost to Install a 240-Volt Home Charger?

If you’re on the road every day, you’ll probably want the convenience of the 240-volt home charging unit. How much does it cost to have one installed? Right now, it’s more affordable than ever, as Chevrolet is currently offering complimentary installation of a Level 2 home unit with the purchase or lease of a 2022 Bolt EV or 2022 Bolt EUV*! 

When you take advantage of this fantastic offer, you will only need to cover the cost of the actual charging equipment. Current estimates of the cost of equipment for the wall-mounted charging unit range from $400–$1,700.
